Thank you for publishing "I See You've Called In Dead”. It was funny, macabre, insightful, and just what I needed for a family spring break read to help reset my perspective on life.

Hi Zibby,

Wish I could come to the festivities, but I'll be on my way to Asia! I see you'll be featuring some of the amazing authors that were at the book retreat. I never got a chance to have you sign my copy if, "On Being Jewish Now," so I'll have to take a rain. check on that again! Can't wait for the next book retreat. I have a bunch of friends who were definitely experiencing FOMO and want to go to the next one!

Best,

Leah

I so admire you, Zibby. Of course there are a thousand other things you could be doing instead. But you have chosen to share books, and the written word matters. It is what carries meaning and history from one generation to the next. And sharing with others the amazing stories you encounter is a gift to us all. Thank you so much

As a writer, author, book coach etc, I am so in awe of how much energy, love and consideration you put into the world of books, honoring writers and loving the talent that comes off the page. I was recently at the San Diego Book Fest as a moderator (Laura Cathcart Robbins is on the board) and was blown away what they put together as a free one day event for folks. We have to not give up writing (I wrote a beautiful book about sexual abuse I can't sell on Tik Tok because you can't put the word sexual) because people find us and love us as authors. That is why I love Substack, because we can be found easier than waiting for the book deal, the distribution. Yes, having your own book to sign is a dream, but as a writer, you have to keep writing writing writing!

It was fabulous to attend Zibby's book event at an elegant NYC venue! Wonderful learning experience about Ozempic, especially after seeing so many negative video opinions about the serious side effects. Hearing from people who have actually used Ozempic was helpful, particularly about the potential positive impact on managing menopause and other health issues. The attendees I briefly interacted with were friendly and inclusive; one woman kindly checked if I got a chance to ask my question with Dr. Sowa during mingling time. The venue's staff were also polite. Even though I am not a club member and was there for the first time (and probably looked clueless), they didn't treat me like I didn't "belong". One woman who was familiar with the club kindly advised me on where to get a nice view of the city from the club building.

Avid readers were at some point in history portrayed as lonely, boring, nerdy bookworms wearing thick eyeglasses and socially awkward. Zibby's book event made us look and feel like the "cool" kids hanging out with posh beautiful people!
