I know I’m a book person, but what a time for TV! I’m still trying to get over the amazing French Open finals yesterday (did anyone else watch?! Go Alcaraz!) and then the Tony Awards! My stepmother is a theater producer and won a Tony for best revival of “Sunset Blvd!” So exciting to see her on stage.
Also this weekend, my husband Kyle and I started watching a new Apple TV show called “Stick” with Owen Wilson. SO GOOD. I can’t wait for “Call Her Alex,” the documentary about “Call Her Daddy” host Alex Cooper which airs tomorrow. I mean, we women podcasters have to stick together, right!? (Haha.)
Speaking of TV/film news, Kyle and his team at Morning Moon are filming a new movie — starting today! — in Virginia Beach. Directed by podcast guest of mine author/actor Josh Plasse (episode here), “The Pirate King” stars Rob Riggle (who also has a book coming out this Fall) and Jordana Brewster. Check out the Deadline article.
Speaking of articles, thanks so much to The Boston Globe for this profile!

Even though it makes me a little sad to think about because I love it so much, I’m taking a break from podcasting after today until I pick up recording again in August. I need to finish writing my own novel and, you know, maybe get outside with my kids this summer. It’s been a minute.

Enjoy the week. Gah! I’m already late!
"My greatest ambition is to have a career without becoming a career woman. The best thing to hold onto in life is each other. I probably hold the distinction of being one movie star who, by all laws of logic, should never have made it. At each stage of my career, I lacked the experience. Nothing is impossible. The word itself says ‘I’m possible!’" Audrey Hepburn
The Summer We Ran was unreal. Devoured it this weekend. Thank you
