Can’t you sense the summer slithering away? It’s the worst. I look forward to summer all year and now (sigh), the countdown to next summer begins.
Luckily, there’s a lot to look forward to. So many great books are coming out (like those on my Most Anticipated list). Zibby’s Bookshop will host tons of authors who you can meet (schedule here).
Personally, I’m excited for my new essay collection for which I’ll be doing a zillion events. The Between Chapters project is underway, too, so you can write and read each other’s reflections on different life chapters. I’m inspired every time!
I still think in terms of academic calendar years. This “year,” I have two college freshmen (cue: tears), a 7th grader, and a 6th grader. So as I enter all their events in my calendar, each with their own color-coded tab, I’m sharing my upcoming events with you!
I’ll be participating in three types of events — and you’re invited!
We’re Hosting: Zibby Retreats for Book Lovers, Zibby’s Bookshop Events, and Totally Booked: Live events
The Between Chapters Tour: Events with fabulous conversation partners at indie bookstores, book festivals, libraries and stores/organizations
The Jewish Book Council Tour and Speaking Engagements
I hope you’ll come out and join me on the road this school year!
In Case You Missed It
John Kenney’s I See You’ve Called in Dead, which we published, hit the indie bookseller bestseller list again. (I spotted it in the wild.)
We only have three weekend spots left (and day passes sold out) at our upcoming October 2nd - 4th Zibby Retreat for Book Lovers in Santa Monica. Hurry!
Susie Shaw, “Bereavement Mom,” wrote a beautiful, heartbreaking, inspiring essay in the Between Chapters Project about motherhood, child loss, and anniversaries. New essays are up here.
A first! Book news of ours was in Music Mayhem; we’re publishing actor/musician James Maslow’s memoir!
The UK version of Alexandra Potter's novel (which we published here), So, I Met This Guy, has been on the bestseller list there for four weeks!
Bonus: Guess what our top selling titles were at Zibby’s Bookshop last week?! (See below.) By the way, we have exclusive signed copies of Ana Huang’s books after her store signing! (Available in store or on our website.)
Thanks for being part of our community! Hope to see you at an upcoming event.
