From Antisemitism to "Gossip Girl"
I’ve been video editing this morning. ;-)
Yesterday, I spoke on a panel at the General Assembly of the Jewish Federations of North America in front of 2,000 people. What was that like? Inspiring. Exciting. Warm. Hopeful. Scary. All the things. My mind is still spinning. How can we collectively solve today’s problems?
Here are my comments about antisemitism, hope, and more.
I also released my podcast with Penn Badgley (aka Dan Humphrey from “Gossip Girl”) yesterday about his book Crushmore. It was picked up by People magazine which ran two pieces about it (his thoughts on fame and marriage/miscarriage), plus E! and BuzzFeed ran articles.
Here’s the podcast episode plus the YouTube link if you want to watch our conversation. (Very proud of myself for figuring out the side-by-side video formatting, haha.)
And don’t miss Nate Berkus on Totally Booked today!
Thursday night on my TV show on JBS is Michael Eisner! Here’s a preview of that reel. A reminder of how to watch my show Thursdays at 7:30 pm on JBS? Click here.
You guys all know that I have a bookstore pop-up in New York now, right? It’s a bookstore within a boutique. Zibby’s Bookshop is inside Minnie Rose on 73rd and Lex (1019 Lexington Avenue) with tons of bestselling titles, new releases and books I’ve loved that I think you will, too.
Stop in now through January to pick up some holiday reads! We host frequent events at the pop-up (details here on Eventbrite), just like at our Santa Monica flagship. Of course, always go there, too on 11th and Montana in Santa Monica!
My gift guide is coming (that is, once I start it), but in the meantime, here are two sneak peeks.
Give yourself or a book lover in your life my new book club subscription from Allstora! The first month is only $1! The books I pick each month will come right to your door.
Pick up a luxurious Totally Booked x Minnie Rose cashmere x cotton sweater for a book lover in your life!
That’s it for today!
Warmly,
Zibby

I loved your conversation with Penn!
