Hi everyone!
As you may know, I have a new “show” (???) on Instagram (@zibbyowens) called “Books on the Floor” where I show you ARCs of books I’m particularly excited about. You’ve asked for the actual lists and here they are! We have a whole section on the Zibby Media website now with lists of books and links to buy. Plus check out everything else like classes, retreats, and more!
Speaking of retreats, our Palm Springs retreat from September 20th - 22nd will be going on sale in the next couple days. Contracts are finalized!! You’ll be the first to know when the sign-ups begin; I’ll send a dedicated email about it to this group asap. Here’s a sneak peek.
Question: would you be interested in a one-night Chicago retreat starting at 9 am or 10 am on Monday, May 20th with bookstore visits, a fun lunch, shopping, a bookstore event (with Stacy Igel at Madison Street Books, already part of the Zibby-verse tour), dinner and an overnight, with dessert in our PJs at the hotel? Or no hotel but one day Chicago day-long retreat? Let me know if you’d be interested in either! (If not, just come to our event.)
And speaking of events… did you know I’ll be coming to Washington, DC on Monday, April 8th from 6 pm - 7:30 pm? Join me for a really fun evening with drinks, light bites, book signings, conversation and an after-hours tour of Planet Word Museum with Meghan Riordan Jarvis, End of the Hour: A Therapist’s Memoir. Tickets here (and include the book).
Forward to anyone you know in the DC/VA area, please!
I’ve loved meeting everyone who has shown up on the Zibby-verse tour!!! Seriously. Hope you’ll come to an event! Details here. And get these tour t-shirts here!
Have you been listening to Moms Don’t Have Time to Read Books lately? Starting April 9th, I’m going from seven to two episodes per week, but I’ll be sharing playlists here each week to highlight the 1,800-episode backlist and things you may have missed!
Today on the podcast, Savannah Guthrie shares her thoughts on faith and love.
This week’s episodes have centered on mental health, actually: TikTok famous Paige Layle shared her late-in-life autism diagnosis; John Schu reflected on his childhood eating disorder; Emily Farris talked — hilariously — about ADHD. Plus, Estelle Erasmus confessed to hearing loss while Nick Shaw opened up about losing his son. Elizabeth Camarillo Guitierrez discussed raising her brother when her Mexican parents were deported.
There’s more but my flight is taking off. More later!
Enjoy!!
Warmly,
Zibby
Yes, I would be interested . I live in suburban Chicago, so no hotel reservation or pj party.
Yes on Chicago and yes for a hotel overnight!
